Origin The Enabler Group is a South African based company, founded in 2002 by Pieter van der Merwe, the original developer of BizTalk Utilities Adapters. The main objective behind the formation of the company was based on a need identified within the market to provide BizTalk Adapters that were easy to configure and monitor. Adapter development commenced in 2002. At that stage the Adapters were provided free of charge on a trial basis before the project went commercial in June 2003. The time the Adapters were available for free to users proved invaluable in stabilizing them for production purposes. Proper planning and design within a BizTalk Solution is critical. If this is not performed by competent resources a project stands a huge risk of failing during development or not scaling properly within production. Implementation expertise unfortunately takes years to develop. It became evident that experienced BizTalk Implementation Consultants were required to do the designs and implementations of BizTalk Solutions. The company currently offers a variety of BizTalk Adapters and Consulting Services to the market. Structure The Company is currently broken down into two separate companies: Enabler Holdings who is responsible for Product Development. Enabler Business Consultants who is responsible for providing consulting services around BizTalk Server implementations.
