Java Developer JW6427 JW6427 Illinois- Chicago metro area MERIDIAN Technology Group is seeking a Java Developer JW6427 with 3-5 years of Java and J2EE application development experience in a web environment. 2 years of JSP development, including experience with custom tags and the MVC pattern. 1 year experience with XML (configuration and parsing), UNIX and SQL. Must have experience with Eclipse/WebSphere Studio App Developer/Rational Application Developer (or other integrated development environment) and ClearCase (or other comparable source control system). Must also have experience with Frameworks such as Struts, Spring, Hibernate and iBatis. Experience with unit testing and testing frameworks such as jUnit and Selenium and knowledge of security implications of web applications and designing secure web applications required. Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS development and ability to design from use cases using UML and integrate into existing systems also required. Knowledgeable of and comfortable with a formal software development methodology such as RUP. Some experience with Spring MVC nice to have. You will develop complex Java/J2EE systems from use cases and wire frame diagrams. Responsibilities include analysis, design, development and testing. You will troubleshoot, enhance, support and maintain mission-critical web and batch applications and apply Java development best-practices to new and existing code.
