Senior Build Engineer JW6309 JW6309 Oregon-Portland metro area MERIDIAN Technology Group is seeking a Senior Build Engineer JW6309 with at least 4 years of software release and configuration management experience. Must have knowledge of industry standard Software Development Life Cycles. Must also have experience with distributed build systems. Direct development experience (Java, C, XML preferred) and capabilities with Ant, XML, Make and Perl required. IBM tool set knowledge (BuildForge, ClearQuest) and prior direct involvement with development, Quality Assurance or operational support activities desired. Experience with industry software configuration management tools including ClearCase, PVCS, Librarian, and Team Foundation Server also desired. You will be responsible for the design, integration and automation of effective build and configuration management processes using ClearCase (UCM preferred). Development and implementation of guidelines, process and policies for configuration management. You will build system design for web and messaging technologies. Provide configuration management and build automation for packaging releases focused around technology for strategic initiatives. Create guidelines for code branching and merging. Integrate existing build processes with BuildForge. Work closely with release coordinator to integrate build and release processes. Work with QA Release Manager on enterprise alignment on build process, plans and procedures for repeatable configuration procedures. Align build processes to support non-production environment framework. Work with production services to ensure a smooth production transition and work with development resources on ClearCase setup and usage. BS Computer Science or equivalent degree required.
